World Oceans Day (10:00 -17:00 EST, New York)
The second fully virtual celebration of United Nations World Oceans Day (WOD) will highlight the theme The Ocean: Life and Livehoods. This year’s annual event will shed light on the wonder of the ocean and how it is our life source, supporting humanity and every other organism on Earth.
The first set of officially endorsed Ocean Decade Actions will be publicly announced during and in parallel to the Global UN World Oceans Day Event, to mark and celebrate the first WOD of the Decade.
