Seaglider
Adding oceanographic information to habitat maps is a novel development. We will be using a seaglider from the University of East Anglia’s Glider Facility to optimise the collection of water column information and to track internal waves within the canyon. The autonomous nature of the seaglider means that the instrument will be collecting data continuously whilst other operations take place.
More on gliders can be found here and once the seaglider has been deployed, you can follow the path of the seaglider here.
