A new article assessing a chemical free, ecologically friendly method for antibiofouling has been published in Letters in Applied Microbiology. The work was partly supported by the SenseOCEAN project as part of the biofouling protection work in the project. Without a suitable antibiofouling method, the long term reliable deployment of marine sensors will always be limited despite other advances (e.g. in power... more

In September, the SenseOCEAN project came together for 10 days at GEOMAR in Kiel, Germany to have a joint testing and calibration session. The aims were to test the individual sensor’s performance against each other (as well as calibrating against laboratory based measurements) and to test the integration of the sensors with the Modbus1 interface unit.
