Damien Malardé
Dr Damien Malardé is a research engineer developing new optical sensors for deepwater and coastal environments. During his PhD at Telecom Bretagne he developed a new salinometer/densitometer (NOSS - nke optical salinity sensor) based on refractometry technology. This sensor can determine absolute salinity and in situ density of seawater in open ocean and coastal environments. Damien has considerable experience in the design of optical devices and in the integration of biogeochemical and physico-chemical sensors on various platforms (profiling float and autonomous buoys). He is also involved in European projects and national projects.
